A access cover (manhole) that in wet weather is like stepping on wet ice., 14th December
This plate is silver coloured unlike any of the cast iron plates and covered with small domes. I stepped on it this morning and the next I knew my was that feet went from under me and I was on my side. I was very lucky that all I've got is a bruised thigh (only just below the hip), a grazed elbow and very aching upper arm. If anyone older and less agile than myself were to step on it in wet weather it could result in a very nasty accident. This is not the first time I have nearly lost footing on this thing. Photos will be supplied by our Neighbourhood Watch.

Busbridge Road, 5th January
The road surface at this point is deteriorating with potholes developing. Like We'll Street this section of road is in need of proper resurfacing. Constant temporary of potholes leaves them susceptible to water damage that results from the failure of authorities to provide proper drainage in this whole area. The potholes represent a danger to all road users. MBC must coordinate services to correct drainage problems and resurface the roads rather than quick temporary repairs.

Well Street Loose, 5th January
Two significant potholes have developed within 15 metres of the junction with High Banks. they are deep and currently approx 45cm in diameter. Those pose a risk to far users, but more significantly to motorcycle or cyclists. These are a symptom of years of neglect of Well Street. Potholes are often just filled but are vulnerable to water damage as the responsible authorities seem unwilling or unable to properly resurface this section of road. I have lived her for over 26 years and never seen the road in such poor condition.
