Potholes starting to appear along M62 between jct 10 and 12, 30th May
This part of M62 was converted to "smart" a few years ago. Where temporary white lines have been removed potholes are starting to appear. This suggests the contractor did not use the correct method for removal and the overseeing agency (Highways I presume) did not conduct a thorough inspection to ensure it was done correctly. Will this be remedied before the holes become a real danger? and who will pay - is there any comeback on the contractor??

Confusing road markings on M62 between junction 12 and 11, 8th January
Road markings left by roadworks on the M62 have been poorly painted over, with markings by cats eyes also left. It is very difficult to see which are the proper road markings, and which are old markings left by road works, especially in sunny or wet weather as the light reflects off them all equally. This results in confused cars swerving over and across lanes as they are unsure where the correct lane is, and the resulting slow driving and braking could very easily cause an accident

M62 westbound junction 12 to 10, 5th October
Very confusing and off-putting signage through roadworks coming out of Manchester at 1230am today. In a 2 Mike stretch there was signs for 60mph , 40mph , 50mph 70mph , obstruction in road . Cars didn't know what to do . Slow down speed up. Road was empty,, visibility ok . No works at all progressing. Very off-putting and frustrating stop start and Very difficult to control speeds and to limits in such a short stretch of road. Needs serious review.

Faulty variable speed gantry between junction 12 and 11, M62 westbound, 11th May
On Wednesday 11th of May at approximately 10pm, I was traveling Westbound between junctions 12 and 11. I was using my cruise control set to 50mph, as there was a message on the roadside gantry stating that there was a stranded vehicle, and to avoid the inside lane, and travel at 50mph. As I approached an overhead gantry, this warning cleared, and the national speed limit sign was displayed. I set my cruise control to 65mph, and traveled under the gantry at approximately 62-63mph. At this point the overhead gantry flashed. As I was the only car going through the gantry at that point, I am worried that the gantry is faulty, and I and others traveling through this stretch may receive erroneous fines as a result. My vehicle reg is ND71 YWF.
