The variable speed limit signs are stuck on 60 mph. It is clear that the system controlling them is malfunctioning., 27th February

Sun, 27 Feb 2022 18:34:32 +0000
53.515583 -2.332257

The speed limit along the whole section is fixed, stuck, at 60 mph. I have driven on the M27 quite a few times since the works were completed at all times of the day, including 8:00 this Sunday morning when it was nearly empty. There is no possible way that congestion was the reason for the 60 mph limit to remain in force. So they must be faulty. Please fix them quickly since they are needlessly slowing up those of us who have to use this motorway frequently.

These jokes are getting worse every day and have been there for over 4 months. They are just in the line for the near side wheels of a car to hit and, more importantly, a cyclists wheels. They are around 70-90 mm deep. The debris is scattered over the whole road and pavement. The street sweeper went round them instead of sweeping up the mess. Tragic

Report on FixMyStreet

Many potholes around this traffic island. Some deep some missing tarmac surface. Overall, and due to the location, this is a very dangerous junction to navigate as there is always very busy traffic and negotiating the island is brought with decisions which include potential damage to cars, pedestrians and other road traffic such as cyclists and motorcyclists. Having tried to bring this up (along with many other road surface problems) with my local MP, Rebecca Long-Bailey, she never responds so the Salford Council also do not respond and are of the 2% of Local Authorities that are NOT linked in to the "Fix My Street" service, 11th March

DANGER DANGER DANGER potholes getting bigger and covering more surface area by the day in Salford. Salford becomes the UK hot spot for road surface damage and total lack of responsibility towards its constituents and road users. Constant flytipping in Stafford Road alleyway and on Wardley Street, 8th December

Sun, 08 Dec 2019 12:44:41 +0000
53.510998 -2.335681

On the lower half of Stafford Road (nearest to Wardley Street end) the alley behind Stafford Road and Clarendon Road houses has become filthy. It is full of weeds, rubbish, graffiti and dog poo. As the alley is in such a shabby state, neighbours are also flytipping in the alley by putting items they do not want in their back yard in the alley instead as though the alley is a extra storage space. it is virtually impossible to wheel the bins down these alleys now because of the overgrown weeds, huge amounts of dog poo and fly tipping outside people's yards. The alley is a disgrace and is a terrible health hazard. There are many young children living in these houses and they could easily injure themselves in all the rubbish, trip in the weeds and get covered in dog poo. The longer this problem is left, the worse the alley gets and it will mean less and less people will care for the upkeep of this shared space. Flytipping in the alley and outside the alley gates on Wardley Street has been an ongoing problem in this area for over three years.

Graffiti on neighbours wall in Stafford rd alley, 8th December

Sun, 08 Dec 2019 12:32:08 +0000
53.511349 -2.336132

There has been graffiti tagged on a neighbours wall. This is in the alley between Stafford Road and Clarendon Road, down the street near Wardley street end. There has been a marked increase in anti social behaviour in this street and the alley way. Currently the alley is filled with fly tipping, dog excrement and now we have graffiti too. The dog poo problem is made worse by the fact that the alley is very overgrown with high weeds and grass which make it impossible and unpleasant to walk down with the wheely bins every week.

Alleyway overgrown :full of weeds and also dog poo, 8th December

Sun, 08 Dec 2019 12:20:34 +0000
53.511349 -2.336132

Overgrown and very messy alleyway between Stafford and Clarendon (nearest to Wardley Street, the lower part of the street) It is so overgrown and covered in weeds and grass that completely cover the cobbles which make it difficult for neighbours to push the wheelie bins down to the gate on bin day. It is unpleasant and difficult to walk down the alley as it is so overgrown and unkempt. This situation has been made all the more worse now that a neighbour is letting two large Labradoodle dogs poo every day all the way through the alley, in the grass and amongst the weeds. This makes for a serious health risk.
