The front panel of the streetlight has fallen off, and the internal wiring is exposed to the elements.
I tried to reattach it myself, without much success. Didn't want to get too violent with it, as the electrics were live.
Would recommend sending someone before it next rains.

Rubbish dumped in square, 10th May
A group of 20/30 Foreign homeless people (the Oxford Street begging gang) are living in Cavendish Square. They are loud and threatening, they are cooking and urinating in the square and are always there after the square has been closed for the night. They are storing their bedding on top of the QPark building on the NE corner of the square and climbing up on two electrical cabinets to retrieve it each evening. They are present during the day and their behaviour is such that they are unapproachable and threatening.

Corner of Pakenham Street and Calthorpe Street, 10th May
My husband fell over this paving stone this morning and has a cut knee and is very shaken up. He also hurt his hand. I have two witnesses and myself. He was with a helper and a guy that was working nearby rushed over to help him up. My husband walks with a walking stick, so this is disgusting that he can't cross a road without tripping over a paving stone. If you want details of witnesses please let me know. Ann Randall

Daily and constant rubbish, urine, graffiti, rough sleeper, 10th May
The stairs from the bridge down to the lower road level are constantly filled with rubbish. The walls are covered in graffiti. There is a rough sleeper. There is a strong smell of urine every day. It just seems like this stair is forgotten even though many people walk through it daily. It's strange to find a place in such a state in an area like Westminster
