FIXMYSTREET IN W2 2AA
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of W2 2AA:
Divisive, 30th April
There are several lamp posts from Maida Vale tube station all the way down Elgin Avenue with these stickers glued on and often very high up. These are divisive political comments . There should be no fly posting at all and certainly not these which will cause offence to many.

Young tree needs support, 30th April
A young cherry tree outside 33 Westbourne Road, W2 5QD, has broken the ties to its support pole and is now waving dangerously in the wind. The roots are being unsettled as on photo and I fear the tree could die. A couple of trees have already died in this location and this is a fairly recent replacement. We very much want to keep it alive. I have put the white cotton strips to try to hold it but they will not hold very long. Please would you help this lovely new tree.

Torn Jacket, 30th April
Morning Reportit Team
While visiting Westminster I was walking along a street (See attached photo) I moved to the pavement side to allow another pedestrian to pass and brushed-off a parking sign. I was astonished to find that the sharp corner of the sign had torn a hole in my leather jacket. (See attached photo) I estimate that the jacket cost around £450 to £500 do Westminster Council provide a compensation scheme for these types of damages?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Regards Pete Boardman.

Sensor doesn't work for bicycles, 30th April
When traveling along Blandford street onto Baker street the traffic lights do not change for cycles. Multiple times now I have approached these lights only for them not to change. Often these lights will change immediately if a car pulls up behind me. I travel along this road often and have never seen these lights change without a car being present. Might I suggest some bike specific lights as you have on many other junctions.

Blocked drain and bad grading at zebra crossing, 29th April
The puddle here leads to pedestrians getting splashed by passing motorists and having to jump across the puddle to cross the street. There are two issues: Part of the puddle is directly above a drain which clearly doesn't work. The part to the west of the zebra crossing is due to bad grading and water will remain here for days after a rainfall.
You can clearly see the wet pavement where water has splashed up from the puddle (the rain had stopped perhaps 30 minutes before the photo was taken)

KEEP CLEAR bay, 29th April
On Montpelier Terrace, the ‘Keep Clear’ bay white markings, interrupting the double yellow and single yellow lines, has recently been renewed. I live at number 9 Montpelier Terrace and I’m disabled in a wheelchair. Cars park directly outside on the yellow line, often with the tyres on the pavement, preventing my wheelchair getting out of my front door. Can the ‘Keep Clear’ bay be extended to include my front door to stop cars parking outside? The extension would only be for 12 feet or 4 metres. Better still would be a bollard or double yellow line preventing any parking at all. I would be very obliged indeed if you could give this matter your urgent attention.. Thank you, George Warrington
