The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of NW4 1PL:
REGULAR illegally parked vehicles on double yellow line, parking on pedestrian foot path, loading bay, bus stop, 9th May
I would like to bring to your attention a situation that occurred on Charcot Road, Colindale, London, NW9 5HG.
*Yesterday, 08/05/2024 at 21:35, I turned into Charcot Road, which the TFL - 125 bus route runs through... I was stuck there for 1 hour and 5 minutes in total!*
Once again, I was blocked by illegally parked cars.
On top of this, there were temporary lights on Colindale Avenue, and as I was blocked from passing, this caused the entire road to get blocked in both directions and grid locked which backed up all the way from Aerodrome road and from otger side of Colindale Avenue.
This caused huge delays/disruption to the multiple bus routes, which use the road, 303, 125, 204, which had to be diverted.
Road users were literally arguing and fighting with each other to squeeze past my bus, which only part of 1 lane was usable.
*This is a REGULAR issue on Charcot Road and at the roundabout and also Colindale Avenue just outside the station.*

I was approached by residents who live in the flats and were not able to access their own property!
Alot of driver's were then driving on the wrong side of the road along Charcot road, this ofcourse endangers lives of unsuspecting pedestrians, which being close the the underground station and multiple flats, there are alot of pedestrians in the area.
As I was severely late, this also impacted the 125 route, which I lost an entire trip. You can imagine the inconvenience it caused to passengers also.
I am sure that if you speak to your colleagues and check on the system, there have been numerous complaints about this issue in the area.
Also, even when I finished at 1am, the illegally parked cars were still there!
This is a daily problem all throughout the day, but I find it happening more on the evenings and weekends.
Eventually, the Police attended to manage the traffic.

Loud alarm in bin going off all day/night. Also Public bin full, not emptied for many days, 9th May
Bin not emptied for days. Rubbish out of bin. Someone unknown has placed loud shrilling noise type of alarm in bin and it is going off all day and night since yesterday . This must be dealt with today as it is keeping everyone awake

Manhole cover very loose/rocking, 8th May
The manhole cover in lane 1 very close to the traffic lights is making a loud noise as it's loose and dangerous. I have reported this several times over the last 3 weeks as the problems has been there for at least 3 weeks. I keep being messaged by this service that the issue is fixed but it has not been fixed. Please advise

Curbstone sticking out - trip hazzard, 5th May
As per the photos, a edge curbstone is standing proud by about 2 inches. Has been like this for several months. Significant and dangerous trip hazzard. On Friday evening (3 May) a young man tripped while jogging to cross the road. Went flying and fell heavily in the far lane, hitting his head on the road. Had to go to hospital. Needs to be repaired URGENTLY, please!

Blocked drain, 5th May
There is a blocked drain at the corner of Sunny Gardens Road and Church Road, On the corner opposite the "Cuisine King" takeaway, on Sunny Gardens Road itself. What3Words location is : ///toast.plank.snaps. The drain is totally blocked and every time it rains, it floods.

Not enough bin capacity for Featherstone Court (Flat), 3rd May
The residents constantly leave their rubbish next to the two large wheeled bins that are full to overflowing long before they are due to be emptied, Barnet council need to intervene and force the landlord to provide adequate bin capacity ( increase bins to three (3) and provide a bin area within their boundaries, not on the public footway.
