Road flooding next to an already dangerous junction on the A539, 31st January
This flooding is becoming more frequent and more dangerous to both pedestrians, cyclists and motorists using this road into, and out of, Pen Y Lan village and the surrounding area.
The cause appears to be a blocked culvert to the east (to the left hand side in the photograph). Recently the drain on the other side of the road, and unconnected with the flooding, was cleaned by Wrexham Council. This has had no effect on this problem.
It’s possible that the effectiveness of land drainage and filler beds could be deminished by this regular flooding. If this were the case, would the council bear any liability?

Motorbikes regularly traveling at over 100 miles per hour, 27th October
In recent weeks there have been daily incidents of dangerous speeding on this stretch of the A539 Overton Road between Twining Hill and Cinders Farm The main offenders are motor cyclists on 'super bikes' and the most frequent day is Sunday, although massively excessive speeding is now occurring every day. On occasions this is in EXCESS of 100 miles per hour. Surely it is only a matter of time before there is a major tragedy on this road.
