FIXMYSTREET IN LD8 2RF
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LD8 2RF:
Chevrons needed, 18th March
The sharp bend has no chevrons. It's very sharp! People have gone through that hedge. The end is shortly followed by another bend (with chevrons which are always obscured by big green wheelie waste bins). Why is there not a squiggle to show that there are two bends? Please review the whole of this double bend for best provision.

Overgrown footpaths, 6th August
The footpath that begins at the pin and travels eastward across 2 lots of farm land before turning south to meet the B4362 (around Lower Harpton) is severely overgrown, with some nettles and brambles also.
Residents of a nearby children's home use this path regularly to access Herrock Hill and beyond via the Offa's Dyke Path (which is becoming similarly innavigable). Currently, they are unable to access this walk due to it being unsafe and unpleasant.

Gate obstruction, 12th May
Two gates are obstructing the Byway (BOAT). The gate by the A44 at Crossway has been changed from opening either way and NOT latched, as was the case when the the Planning Inspectorate viewed this prior to confirming this as BOAT. Now a large boulder has been placed behind the gate such that it will NOT open away from the A44. This is a CONSIDERABLE DANGER. Two vehicles approached, the first could pull off the road, but the second was left sticking out into the fast moving traffic on the A44. This caused fast moving traffic to screech to a halt, and another to pass in the face of oncoming traffic. The first vehicle turning in can pull off the road, but has to stop short of the gate to allow it to open, hence IF there is a second vehicle it must stop unexpectedly in the unrestricted A44. This can be remedied very quickly but is an acute and severe danger.
Also a second new gate has been installed at the location indicated some 50 metres or so along the BOAT. Both of these gates are unlawful obstructions, are not on the Statement, are not needed for stock control, and can not be authorised in any case.
