Speeding, 7th August
The speed limit on this road is 30 m.p.h., yet people regularly will do approx 5o m.p.h. on it. We also have a large number of tractors with heave trailers using the road at excessive speed, which have no chance of stopping in an emergency. Many people, including myself and my family, use this road for walking, cycling etc, and the police are very rarely visible over the past 2 years other than from time to time on the industrial estate. The permanent solution which has worked elsewhere in the area is a couple of speed bumps being put on the road. It is a semi rural area and we need more support with many ageing people and young children in the area it is only a matter of time before there is a fatality.
