Yesterday Saturday the 17 a council vehicle cut the grass verge along the road From Seagrave to the A46 on both sides. The mower attachment on the digger did a great job, but it also shredded every piece of litter including plastic bottles, can, and general waste which is now a complete i sore and looks absolutely disgusting. A litter pick for the length of this road.

Several issues including off slip to enter my property, 23rd January

Mon, 23 Jan 2023 09:41:54 +0000
52.733574 -1.069065

The offslip outside the property entrance is uneven with soil and water. You cannot drive on to it and there is a ditch that is deep and needs barricading so to stop other vehicles from falling into the ditch. The off slip is not even and suitable for cars as lorry's & trucks stop and their tyres churn up the soil and dirt to make the off slip road unusable. We have to put our indicator and emergency hazards on as well as reducing our speed to 30mph when we are at the Thrussington turn in order to turn in to our property. People will continue to tailgate and follow us on to our property to verbally abuse us because of our actions. These people know where we live and have been quite threatening so so cannot do anything about it which puts us in a vulnerable situation. The tree branches obscure vision on a foggy / misty day. The vehicles drive very fast as everyone is in a hurry to be somewhere. We have been monitoring that it takes us 10/15 mins to get out at 7.50am on weekdays. We have no "on" slip to leave our property and people are always horning or deliberately encroach in the lane when we are indicating to enter the live lane. We have kerosene oil tankers who are too afraid to enter and leave our property all because the conditions of leaving the road and reentering it has left them terrified. These are tanker driver long wheelbase lorries tractors vans small cars. Since 2016 we have been closely monitoring the road and we find traffic is ever increasing. The number of accidents is increasing. This road is very busy. However I had a meeting with a traffic manager Vij about 3-4 yes ago and he came and viewed the serious of the decaying off slip and agreed it was something that would be done in a couple of years. I'm sure you will agree it's now been over 3 years and we need to have the off slip resurfaced or evened out with tree branches cut back as far as possible. As the we have a sloped we have to drive up and visibility is poor when it mists or gets extremely foggy. Also leaving the drive as there is no onslip so we have to make do with the offslip to get on to the busy road. Drivers are very unforgiving and nobody is ever happy to move into an empty lane to allow fellow road users to enter the road. Considering this can make poor judgements on our behalf we need to see if a onslip further along our property boundary would be feasible. We have the space and can slowly increase our speed to enter a lane. Where as currently the way to enter a lane is driving from stationary to 30 mph and keeping up with traffic which can be tricky for anyone to gage right no matter what the season or time of day it is. I feel very emotional and on edge as I cannot leave or enter my property without feeling will this person behind me pull up and swear at me because I braked and had to turn. It really is something I no longer like about driving, it's a hassle getting out and into my property and it shouldn't be like this.
