Pothole and raised mound, 7th July
This pothole and mound appeared a few weeks ago during the hot weather. It looks like the tarmac has been forced out of a join between an expansion joint. As the tarmac has been forced out it has formed a mound of tarmac about 4-5 inches high and about the size of a dinner plate. It is towards the right edge of lane one right at the point the off ramp for junction 44 starts. Whilst driving in lane one it is hard to miss either the pothole or mound because they're right on the driving line of your offside wheels. I hope this helps?
