FIXMYSTREET IN LS23 6QJ
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LS23 6QJ:
Dangerous potholes, 5th September
There are numerous potholes on Windmill Road that have been there for years. LCC attempts to rectify them but they last just a few weeks or months at best and they quickly come back. Some are very dangerous indeed especially when filled with water as they just look to be big puddles, but are in fact cavernous holes with sharp and deep edges. It is scandalous that LCC choose to not use FixMyStreet anymore. Their web site is grossly inferior, with photos being stupidly limited to a very small file size. Who know how to reduce a file size? Deliberate or what?

Faulty Traffic Lights, 27th June
The Temporary Traffic Lights erected yesterday (26 June 23) are changing to green at both ends at the same time causing traffic to need to drive through the sectioned off (restricted ) area at the same time or meaning one end has to drive through when their light is showing red. Although this is a small lane it is a main access route to Tadcaster Grammar School. I noticed this issue last evening & it's still the same this morning.

A series of old and massive pot holes at the sides of the road, 7th October
Leeds City Council is negligent in not using FixMyStreet. It argues that is not cost effective to use it, and that its own system is superior. This is garbage. Its system is very poor and user unfriendly, and it is just an excuse to ignore you.

Cars always park over lines and block access., 8th September
This is access to the Greyhound Barns houses. Vehicles often part or fully park over the lime and obstructing access. It causes issues for residents leaving and returning as they often can't use or have further obstructed visibility. The issue has been ongoing for many months but now is becoming worse due to emergency vehicles attending more often.

Report on FixMyStreet
Road subsidence, 2nd September
This has been reported previously to LCC on a number of occasions. The road has deep subsidence when travelling east to west. The problem is exacerbated because your vehicle hits the hollow as the road bottoms out. This puts excessive pressure on the vehicle's suspension and you easily bottom out. You could easily break a suspension spring. The tarmac is also badly scoured where various vehicle under-carriages and exhausts have hit the road. LCC did try and fix this problem years ago but the problem has returned.
Report on FixMyStreet
Windmill Road, from Bramham to Clifford, is ridden with deep and dangerous pot holes. When it rains they fill up and you cannot tell how deep they are. When your wheel hits one it is too late. This was reported to LCC 27 August. What a pity, unlike almost all other authorities LCC stopped using Fix My Street. Is it because it too easily holds them to account? And tracks problems for all to see?, 27th August
These pot holes are very old and getting worse. With winter looming up the road really needs fixing. The road is single lane and you cannot help but encounter them. When filled with water they are really hazardous. Come on LCC, pull your finger out.
