Pots holes and terrible road conditions in 3rd lane on M6 NB, 17th April
The surface on the third lane, just before the junction, north bound it awful. I have been travelling on that part of motorway and its so dangerous. Cars are swerving to avoid the holes and awful condition of the road -it really needs looking at ASAP

There are several large potholes on M6 northbound in lane 3 approx 0.5 mile from Jct 36. Needs to be addressed so take care as could cause damage to wheels and tyres.

Around 200m before junction 36 of the M6 Northbound there is a section of road that is damaged creating a large area of potholes that can only be avoided by switching lanes, 28th March
The area of potholes are in the third lane. Looks like it needs urgent action as there is potential for someone to lose control if they hit this area

Pointless and dangerous 40 mph restriction, 19th March
For the last mile of the South-bound A590 heading from Kendal to the M6 J36, there is a temporary 40 mph speed restriction. I saw this on Sunday and Monday (17/18 March). There are some cones along the road verge but no sign at all of any work in progress or need for reduced speed. Consequently, all traffic is ignoring the restriction and continuing to move at 60-70 mph. Reducing speed to observe the 40 mph limit could itself cause an accident as fast moving lorries could suddenly come across a much slower-moving vehicle, causing sudden braking or swerving.

Litter build up, 2nd January
Hi I help clean litter off the roads. It's dangerous and relentless work! Certain places I can't get to. The roundabout and slip roads leading onto the M6 are one of those areas outside of Kendal. Is it possible for the National Highways to try and clean these areas on at least an annual basis? It would make a huge difference. Especially as it is the gateway to one our biggest National Parks. I have been informed by my local authority that this does fall under your responsibility. Kind regards Johnny

Roundabout and slip roads starting to look messy with litter going on to the M6. Can it not be not cleaned once a year, please? Difficult for the public to do in this area.

There is an exposed man hole cover which is unavoidable when traffic is coming in the other lane. Heading towards Kendal way. Damaged brand new wheel.

Overgrown vegetation, 30th July
Southbound sliproad - exit onto A590. The sightline to the right is impeded due to tall grass. It needs cutting in order to facilitate a clear view of the 2 lanes of traffic coming from the right, which can be heavy at times (exiting the Lake District).
