The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of LA7 7AX:

Pothole is about 15inches, about 4-5 inches deep , almost on junction opposite The Wheatsheaf, 24th March

Sun, 24 Mar 2024 13:31:03 +0000

Because of position, cars pull out onto opposite side to avoid, making the junction more hazardous. I know this pothole has already been reported but it must be more than 2 months ago now.

Dog Unfriendly Style, 25th September

Sun, 25 Sep 2022 17:36:54 +0100
54.221212 -2.768485

A great new stile that's perfect for humans but useless for dogs, in particular large dogs too heavy to carry over. Understandably the gap underneath the new field gate is deliberately small to prevent livestock from escaping. A "dog-way gate" would be the solution here and there's more than enough space to install a simple "lifting plank".

Since you have only just re-surfaced the A6 at Beetham a hole has appeared outside my home. ( Note from picture it is by markings for arrow to be painted) It is getting worse as lorries and trailers "BOUNCE" in it making a terrific NOISE!! ( Annoying). It needs filling in right away before it gets any worse. At present it is about 6 inches across and 2-3 inches deep.

4" deep potholes here and 10 others along Back Lane., 2nd January

Wed, 02 Jan 2019 17:17:27 +0000
54.199797 -2.763861

Back Lane, Hale, is much in need of maintenance before either a vehicle is damaged or a pedestrian is injured. In the 32 years I have lived on Back Lane the road has never been resurfaced. Potholes frequently appear and large ares of the lane flood when it rains. Owing to the lane being narrow the potholes cannot be avoided by car. They are also a hazard to pedestrians as it isn't possible to have either a pavement or grass verge on which to walk. The lack of street lighting (now) increases the hazard. The current potholes have reappeared in the last few months after they had been patched up. In fact much of the lane is a tarmac patchwork which is unsatisfactory. There are four businesses on this lane as well as residents. It would be appreciated if the problems could be rectified please. Thank you.
