Dangerous pothole, 24th November
This was reported several months ago - and has been ID'd by the white paint - but has not been repaired and there are no scheduled works I can find for the next 12 months.
Although large stretches of the road descending from the cattle grid approaching Elterwater are in extremely poor condition, this particular pothole has now become dangerous. Cars swerve to avoid it, or hit it at speed when full of water then partially lose control as it bottoms out suspension (due to its shape).
I have saved a dashcam video of this happening - and will use it to claim should I have suffered suspension damage.
Given the potential for compensation claims to the council, and the clear and present danger this defect presents given its location, I hope that it can be prioritised for repair in the near future.
Equally, should it not be, and a negative outcome (or outcomes) occur, I hope this record will be used to improve procedures going forwards.
I'll follow this up with a local Councillor and Tim Farron as a matter of course. (Though I'm sure they have better things to do). :)

Remains of burnt rubish, 13th September
Some careless person has burnt rubbish on top of the mound at the side of the Wainright pub, there is a path leading from the road round to Thrang View cottage, the rubbish is visible from this on top of the mound. The rubbish contains the remains of old furniture and what looks like garden rubbish. Visitors including me like to climb this mound and look over the village, early morning or late evening when the village looks at it's best. This carless act has totally spoilt this.
