Lack of road signs to reduce speed in accident blackspot, 25th January
Hello, A lot of work has been undertaken to reduce the speed near the petrol station at this location including reduction to 40mph and average speed enforcement. Since this was introduced last year there have been 2x deaths in 2024 at this location. I often travel this route and wish to remain compliant with 40mph, but often am not aware of which speed zone I am in. For locals we may choose the lower speed, for tourists they may just not be aware. Yes they will be fined, but for some that is too late. I suggest a lot more speed and enforcement signage to reduce the speed in this area, it is simply not that clear and will not be having the desired effect despite a lot of effort and money spent so far. Many thanks. S

Temporary traffic lights, 3rd January
Work being carried out until 15/01/24. Today I needed to drive from Ulverston and was held up for one hour twenty minutes due to the lights. The frustration was that when I got to the lights the traffic tailback coming in the opposite direction was only eight cars long! This is very poor traffic management and only adds to the frustration and is a total imbalance. Can this be resolved by better monitoring of traffic while this work is on?

The road is insured by traffic lights. The busiest part coming into Cumbria and you have allowed traffic lights there. Why is this not being done through the night like it was putting in average speed cameras. This is causing massive delays in the area for people getting to and from work.

We suspect the culvert under the road is blocked. This is also causing gardens to flood and threatening to flood a garage. There is a manhole cover allowing access to the culvert.
