The conditions of the U5071 up toward Cockenskell and Appletreeholme, are appalling. Big potholes, sides of road caving in. Many cars have damaged wheels., 16th January
The U5071 in Blawith LA128EQ has greatly deteriorated. Large potholes, tarmac caving in at edges. Many cars are suffering wheel damage. Please could the whole section from Blawith to Cockenskell be looked at?

Cars abandoned everywhere!, 31st May
Thoughtless parking on both sides of the road making it difficult to pass oncoming traffic. I drive a larger vehicle and have to straddle the white line on bends to pass the "parked" vehicles. The whole parking situation on the W side of Coniston is unacceptable and dangerous. There will be an accident along here caused by this very soon! Given the volume of traffic and the badly parked cars, the response time of emergency will be negatively impacted.

Dangerous cattle grid, 29th September
There is a problem with the cattle grid at Water Yeat. I nearly crashed riding my bike on to it from the Torver side. Something has happened to this cattle grid as I have ridden my bike over it many many times and not had an issue with it. The first gap/step up onto the metalwork is too big. It nearly caused me to fall off. The impact was so great that my water bottle flew out of its cage, which never happens here. I was worried I may have damaged the front or both wheels/tyres/inner tubes, but they appear to be OK.
This could cause a serious accident, particularly if there is a vehicle following closely.
