Swarthmoor wetlands are footpaths flooding, 31st July
Hello,
You recently completed a new roundabout project (Cross-a-moor) in Swarthmoor, Cumbria. As part of this you created a wetland area with a public footpath on Main Road.
Every time we get sustained rainfall (it happens a lot in Cumbria) the footpaths flood to the point when you'd need wellies to walk through. It can be several inches deep. So at the moment the pathways aren't fit for purpose.
On Saturday I attempted to walk around the area and had to cut over the very sodden grass to get round.
Please can you investigate and fix the flooding? I've seen this for months but this is my first time reporting. I can send photos from Saturday.
Thank you

Dangerous driving, exiting the Swarthmoor round a bout, 17th July
Numerous occasions we have witnessed vehicles from exiting the Swarthmoor round a bout heading towards Main Road Swarthmoor driving on the wrong side of the road. Today we thought one vehicle was going to come onto the payment where we were walking coming from Croftlands direction on the bend past Park Field junction on the right had side of the road when they should have been on the left. This is not just a one off occasion this happens regularly and is causing residents while walking or trying to exit Park Field a lot of issues, due to speeding vehicles. It is just an accident waiting to happen. Drivers are exiting the round a bout and a coming down the hill at a speed more than 30 and also coming the other way. They are going onto the bend that fast, they are going on the wrong side of the road. This stretch of road is regularly used by children going to school, dog walkers and the elderly walking. Someone needs to look into this as it is all times of day this is happening and you take your life in your own hands exiting Park Field or walking with rush hour traffic. The road should have gone straight up past the wetland area and not a bend created, no idea why this was not done as it makes complete sense ? The crossing at the wetland is in the wrong location and again you take your life into your own hands crossing. There are no warnings the crossing is there at all and the speed is just ridiculous. Especially as this area is now used a lot by children and dog walkers. It should have had either a zebra crossing or warning lights, and speed bumps all the way down from Trinkeld junction to Park Road (Wild Duck) to reduce the speed of these drivers.

Wildflowers, Nature Area & Speeding, 25th June
Hi there, Whilst we (the residents of Swarthmoor) are generally very pleased with the new nature area and the wildflowers you planted down the side of the new road from the 'Crossamoor' roundabout, it seems that the contractors cutting the verges around the roundabout and road have mown down all of your wildflowers just as they were coming into flower! What a waste of effort and money planting them... What benefit is that to the nature? Addittionally, they have dumped all of the cuttings in the new nature area! I think it was last about 4 weeks ago. I want to make sure they aren't going to do it again.
Additionally, the path around the new nature area has been flooded the vast majority of winter and is effectively useless. It needs some maintenance and/or drainage works, otherwise people will keep walking over the grass and making a muddy mess. Are you planning on undertaking this corrective work?
Finally - last time I got in touch, you said you were going to undertake a traffic safety assessment down main road, as a number of residents are concerned about the speed of cars coming off the roundable. It's gotten much worse since there are roadworks on the A590 through Swarthmoor. What's the latest update? Someone is definitely going to be injured/killed crossing to the nature area or coming out of Park Field/Park Road.
I look forward to your responses. thanks

Loads of New Potholes, 20th December
Loads of new potholes right along both sides of this stretch of road. Some cars are now having to stop and drive around them when there's an oncoming vehicle, hard to believe in this day and age as they have not long been repaired , something is sadly wrong probably with the materials used ?
