Poor ground maintenance., 5th April
The grass has recently been cut in the street. The person that cut the grass must have been on a time limit and was trying to get the job finished as fast as possible. I understand that it would have been the first cut of the year but it is still unacceptable. The council recently stated that they were raising the price of council tax in order to provide a high professional service to the community. There is no high standard or professionalism here. The grass has been hacked and left lying around and on the road.

Poor footpath, 5th April
The path was meant to be fixed last year. However it was just patched over. I would have expected this to be fixed to a higher standard! The paths are still uneven and maybe even made worse by the patch jobs that were carried out.

Parking on double yellow lines, 6th March
Cars are constantly parked on this narrow entrance road (Winehouse Yett) to the castle and playpark, leaving a very narrow gap to drive through. An ambulance or fire engine would struggle to access. Unnecessary and selfish behaviour by drivers. Most days/times there is at least one car here.

Symington Main Street Road surface is suffering deterioration. This street has been used on a daily basis now by heavy construction vehicles involved in the new housing projects in the Village.

Drainage issue and pot holes, 23rd January
Water run off from hills is going down road like a stream. Has been like this since autumn. In winter it froze causing dangerous driving conditions and an accident (car hitting lamppost). Also cars now soak pedestrians on pavement due to amount of water. Deep pot holes also now developing outside Dundonald House. There is no drainage before the bottom of the hill near the burn at Merkland. Requires a drainage solution further up outside Porterstone cottage.
