Road not fit for purpose especially for motorcyclists and pedal cyclists due to potholes and broken surfaces. Has someone got to be killed on this road before South Ayrshire Council resurface all of it? This road has been like this for years now and has only been selectively resurfaced in places but needs the whole route done NOW! If in doubt road managers only need to travel over the border into Dumfries and Galloway's section of the same road to see what a disgrace S. Ayrshire's section is!! The sign says 'Welcome to South Ayrshire' but the road surface is far from welcoming.

Potholes, 1st October
The A714 between Barrhill and Pinwherry particularly has innumerable potholes, many very large and deep. It has been like this for several years, but has become especially bad in the past 2 - 3 years as piecemeal pothole patching has been spectacularly unsuccessful. In the past 2 years these potholes have caused the breakage of 7 car springs in my and my wife's cars (not though reckless or fast driving). I am also aware of many other car owners locally who have suffered similarly.

A714 Southbound just past Blair Farm, 28th September
Large pothole on nearside bend which is not easily observed when filled with water, it is also difficult to avoid when large heavily laden vehicles, which frequently use this road, approach the bend at the same time from the opposite direction.
