Redundant part of street lamp, 26th March
On Corsehill Drive there is a part street lamp next to the Kerb where a new lamp was installed. Last week some workers came and dug the pavement up, I thought to remove the unsafe part street light. They put red Guard railings around it and went away. A few days later some more workers came, I thought to remove the offending part street lamp, but no, they removed half of the guard rail and went away. Today 26th March some more workers appeared, I thought to remove the dangerous part lamp post, but no, they filled in the holes the other workmen had made and tarred it over and went away leaving the offending and dangerous part lamp post still there. I pay a lot of council tax and would like to know what was happening here other than digging holes and filling them in again. The part street light is still there. If no one knows how to remove it I could get one of my grandchildren to tell them. John McMillan.
