Illegal parking on the pavement, 6th May
Since the new occupants of 57 Manse Street moved in they and their visitors have been abandoning numerous vehicles on the pavement. It makes it difficult for pedestrians to pass and is causing traffic issues as vehicles are now trying to pass in two directions simultaneously while buses are loading and unloading passengers. This is in direct contradiction of the Highway Code and road traffic laws.

Mother and child almost knocked down, 28th October
THIS PROBLEM IS ESCALATING. I WITNESSED A MOTHER PUSHING HER BABY IN A PRAM HAVING TO GO OUT INTO THE ROAD AND ALMOST HOT BY A CAR FROM BEHIND ... ALL DUE TO INACCESSIBILITY ON THE PAVEMENT FOR FOOT TRAFFIC THAT IS CONTINUALLY BEING USED FOR PARKING . ALL THE CARS ARE 100% ON THE PAVEMENT AND LEAVING MINIMAL SPACE TO WALK PAST ... WARNING - IMMEDIATE DANGER OF INJURY OR DEATH !!! From the corner of Quay Street and around the corner from 1 to 9 the Braes for the past 2 years vehicles have been parking on pavement. The vehicles are fully on the pavement and obstruct pedestrian traffic, elderly trying to get to Aldi and Iceland across the road. Each day 2-3 automobiles are parked and at nigh 5 - 7 are parked from 4pm onward. The vehicles further block pedestrian access to the pedestrian crossing from the corner of Quay Street and The Braes over to the shopping area at Aldi and Iceland. The area of road (the Braes) is a two lane road and narrows at or about that point (between 1 and 9 The Braes) This is a double yellow line area and the lines were recently repainted (within the past 5 weeks) so what is the use of new double yellow lines if they are not to be enforced! No fewer than 3 incidents of injury to elderly have occurred in this general area recently (the past 6 months) and the Council can check their records to verify this. Someone will be seriously injured and/or killed because of the laziness of the people parking on the pavement in front of their 3 story flats. I trust that this will at least prompt action and enforcement of laws that are there to govern the use of public access ways and not for vehicles to be granted parking places that actually break the law. There is an abundance of off street parking behind 1-9 The Braes specifically designed for accommodating the cars in these buildings. Enough Said, Action Now Required !!!

Rubbish bin sitting and not picked up for over a year, 18th October
There is a brown rubbish bin in Dickhead Place (behind units 23,25,27,29 The Braes). This bin has been there for over a year. Although it is a garden waste bin it has been stuffed full of all kinds of rubbish over the past year. For the past 2 to 3 months the bin is actually bursting open and eventually all the contents will end up being littered all over Dockhead Place. Surely the Sanitation/Rubbish department of the North Ayrshire Council will see fit to send someone out there and solve this problem before it gets t become a very serious rubbish issue on Dockhead Place and surrounding areas as this rubbish will surely spread far and wide with the Salcoats winds.
