FIXMYSTREET IN KA18 3LP
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of KA18 3LP:
Quarry Traffic, 19th December
Is there anything that can be done about the disgusting state of the public highway by the quarry entrance and along the road for a good distance? Sludge, dirt, clay, mud stones and gravel litter the road which is a public highway used by walkers, cyclists and motorised vehicles. Even heavy rain isn't shifting this mess anymore. Its also a popular fly tipping area. Thank you.

Condition of this road, 25th June
The condition of this road is an utter disgrace. Roughly half a mile has been resurfaced leaving 3 miles that hasn’t. The road is not fit for cyclists causing them to veer all over the road like a skier carving a path through moguls. Dodging potholes, bumps and mounds in this way creates a hazard for the cyclist and other road users many of whom are HGV’s or time-pressed van drivers bouncing along on road with a 60 mph speed limit. The whole thing needs to be resurfaced like the back road between Lugar and Cumnock has been.

Threadbare and pitted with potholes road surface, 13th August
Some example pictures of the threadbare and pothole pitted road surface are attached. The first 1/2 mile of this 3 1/2 mile road was resurfaced but the remaining 3 miles are in parts form Cronberry to Auchinleck really starting to deteriorate and becoming a problem for the cyclists' that now use this road along-side cars and HGVs. The cyclists' have to dodge some very poor road surface throughout the whole road as do wary drivers.

Lack of camber, 5th April
Lack of camber on the road means rain water fails to drain away into the drains instead it sits on the road eventually going into the ground through potholes which then causes further problems with natural drainage and the clay soil. Lack of drainage causes damp and mould particularly on the side of properties which face the public highway.

Danger from Recycling Boxes in high winds, 4th April
First reported Sun 31 January 2016: Expensive damage was done to my vehicle when high winds caught a red recycling box and "slammed it" at high speed into my car door causing it to literally explode into shards of sharp plastic. Because of where Cronberry is and how it is positioned the small recycling bins are no use in high winds. Residents have to leave them out early morning for collection then go off to work whilst the wind throws them up and down the road. The big blue and green "wheelies" don't fair much better when empty but still have the same propensity to cause damage to private property. There has been no attempt whatsoever to address this problem.

Potholed filled with broken glass, 4th April
Broken glass in the pothole then it rains hides the glass and punctures car tyres / cycle tyres / motorcycle tyres. Still gravel everywhere. The appalling state of this road really lets the whole neighbourhood down which for some reason is classed as Band "B" on Council Tax rather than "A"

Gravel road, 23rd March
What was in the potholes (gravel) is again all over the road causing plenty of damage to the expensive under seal put on cars to protect them. Rally cars have fibreglass bottoms, I don't have a rally car?
