On A1071 on the remote bends where no hedgerows etc, on Sudbury bound side of road in travel path if nearside wheels.
Means cars are either swerving to avoid or risk being forced into path of oncoming traffic when making contact with wide/long/deep potholes!!! Even those previously repaired are failing again alo g with the the drain grid surrounds!!!!

Sharp bend sign missing, 1st February
Sharp bend sign is missing, unfortunately didn't know the road so was taken by surprise. Had to slam on breaks but hit the curb which burst the tyre and caused damage to wheel alignment.

Multiple potholes, either poorly filled in or missed and some yellow painted but not dealth with, 7th April
Some pot holes filled in with lumpy poorly temped tarmac. There are also numerous potholes ringed with yellow paint, been there so long that yellow paint faded. Also new potholes have appeared some deep and long in between the already reported potholes. SURELY as this area of Main road is unlit it should be prioritised

Multiple Worsening Potholes & loose Drain Cover, 21st January
On winding, hilly section of road in Wilderness. In excess of 12 potholes affecting both directions. With only a. Couple of larger ones marked. Others now getting bigger & deeper and hard to avoid with either side of car wheels. Drain cover sudbury bound makes clackerty noises.

Footpath over bridge closed, 2nd July
A much used footpath over the river Brett, connecting the the two Tinkers Lanes from East and West has been closed for many months. This is due to a subsidence on an old mill site nearby. However, the scaffold / shuttering extends unnecessarily beyond the sink-holes and prohibits the use of the footpath bridge that is crucial for access to the countryside for many pedestrians walking their dogs. The scaffold / shuttering could easily be modified to allow access across the river.

The sharp corner warning arrows are damaged and missing, this is going to cause an accident as there is no warning and it is very dark at night

Blocking road & roundabout, 13th March
People parking in our narrow lane close that has a huge roundabout that is not treated as a roundabout - cars zooming in to turn round from high street.. Cars parking around the roundabout blocking traffic.. Cars going the wrong way around the roundabout causing near misses.. Cars blocking the narrow lane off the roundabout (see pictures) so we are unable to leave our home either by car or on foot. Lack of road signs on roundabout or no parking signs or yellow lines. The roads also double as walkways as there are no paths here. I am disabled and if my husband is not here to track down the drivers I am unable to leave my house. We need a smaller roundabout or proper roundabout signs and parking restrictions within the close. Residents either have driveways or parking slots but these are often blocked off. Non-emergency ambulances are among the biggest offenders and after our complaint to the Ambulance service which they did uphold in our favour; the crews still do it misusing their status and trying to bully us into feeling mean spirited for asking them to move their vehicle so we can get out of our house.

Vandalised fence alongside river footpath east of footbridge, 16th April
This fence has been partially damaged in the past year or so-because no repairs have been made the yobs have continued to systematically destroy it-their latest and most determined efforts have resulted in the smashing and breaking of a large section of fence-the next phase of their work will be to break up the remains and throw it into the river-this whole fence, which was presumably erected for safety reasons,needs replacing with something more substantial and vandal proof

Very uneven surface peppered with potholes over a 50metre distance only repaired recently and back to how it was!, 10th March
I believe this has been repaired recently, but very badly as it is now back to how it used to be. There is a whole bunch of potholes around this junction area and just around the corner. There is gravelly stuff on the road around each of the potholes which i presume is the shoddy repair work which has come loose.

Road flooding at riverside carpark, 24th December
Having recently spent a considerable amount of money providing a new drainage ditch to cure this long-standing problem the highways dept. neglect to check and clear this drain without constant prompting by local residents-it regularly gets silted up but instead of flushing through the cleaner simply drains the very large puddle! every time it rains the puddle returns and just gets bigger and bigger until somebody makes a call-this drain needs regular inspection and flushing

There are two large sacks, one marked as Babergh District Council, on the waste land just off the footpath leading from Tinkers Lane (off Benton Street)to the river crossing.

Dangerous Exit, 18th April
The exit from Stackwood Road onto the A1071 is very dangerous. Vehicles coming from your left as you enter the road are moving so fast you risk an accident. Traffic management required before someone is killed
