Badly maintained road, 22nd December
The road is called the stone and was flailed by a local farmer recently. Since the work has been carried out half broken branches have been falling in the lane and obstructing the road. Locals and myself included have had to remove these branches. There is also a lot of trees that have been badly damaged and will now slowly rot and decline as a result and in the near future break off into the lane. This is a time where we should all be looking after nature and not vandalising it like this. This needs sorting asap before any vehicles or pedestrians get hurt as a result. The culprit should also be made to fix this and learn how to use their equipment properly or get another job.

The road surface has been breaking up over the last 12months, it is now severely cracked and sinking in several areas, Only this week a highways crew have been along this overly used lane but nothing has been done re these areas, this is ridiculous that these areas haven't been picked up to be done.

Complete length of Verge along this lane needs attenting, 13th July
A few weeks ago the verges along of this narrow lane were cut back with little effect, the equipment used was not appropriate and therefore much of the verges were left. These verge's are now so over grown is it very dangerous for people out walking, children, horse riders, cyclist and other vehicle users. These verge's require cutting back using an appropriate method.

Road centre markings/white lines, 26th June
It’s been approx 2 years since this piece of road has been resurfaced some of the centre road markings have been reinstated however the majority of the road has not. I consider this very dangerous as some drivers can’t seem to distinguish one side of the road to the other and have a tendency to drive in the middle.

Pothole Issues again, 24th February
More Potholes to add to this disgustingly muddy road.. Several useless repairs made only a few months ago has made this road an uncomfortable drive, the sprayed on repairs have deteriorated and become progressively worse, these are now rumble strips with some being actual potholes only to add to the existing potholes.

Continuing Pothole issue, 23rd February
After another failed attempt at a quick fix patch up job a continuing pothole comes back. Only just a few months ago the council sent a bitumen/stone spraying vehicle to patch several areas of this lane which has turned out to have been a complete waste of tax payers money! What little areas of this work remains has turned into severe lumps...like rumble strips and in some cases mini potholes, this has actually made driving along this overused lane much worse than before and this technique of quick fix clearly hasn't worked.

Mud, 27th January
Mud and leaves all the way up the lane. Lorries farm vehicles etc drive over the verges and squish the mud over the width of the lane. When you report this Suffolk County Council say it is Mid Suffolk that need to sweep the lane, Mid Suffolk say they don't sweep un kerbed roads (well they certainly used to as the lane got swept until a few years ago about twice a year). So how do we progress this problem? John Field the councillor has also not followed up on this in spite of email requests! It is very hard work trying to clear this with a spade and brush as it is 1.5 miles to my home but I do try as best I can.

Hot patch repairs, 19th March
The hot patch repairs to the pot holes got completed during the week ended 6 March, thank you. This process produces a large excess of loose sticky stones that are now all the way up the lane as so many repairs had to be carried out. Please arrange to have these swept up. Thank you.

Mud and drainage, 7th January
Still no action been taken to clear mud from the verges (to prevent the mud being pushed onto the roadway) and the drains that are there are blocked. More drainage is required and the ditches need clearing out. A person from Highways needs to come up this lane during or just after heavy rainfall to see exactly what it is like. Also a good idea to come up the lane on a Friday (especially if it is or has been raining!) after the bin lorry has driven over the verges and pushed more mud onto the road. The potholes that have been reported for the last few months have still not been fixed and are getting bigger.
