Zone H RESIDENTS BEING PATROLED, 9th March
Car parked all day in residents parking spot with wrong permit on display not vailed to the car parked. I would think the first rule of any warden if the permit IS NOT IN A HOLDER ATTACHED TO THE WINDSCREEN TO DOUBLE CHECk THE REG MATCHES THE CAR. This is more poor service for the honest residents that have to pay. Cant remember the last time I saw a warden, service has gone down since it became West Suffolk Council. Have reported wrongley parked cars in zone H on the council web site to no avail onec again when it was St.Edmundbury council they gave a direct tel number to call.

Deep pothole in lane of travel. Was a previous repair. There is another just slightly up the hill on left side that is also dangerous to cyclists as it’s in the lane of travel. This whole stretch of road from this location up to Glastonbury Road there are many potholes that make it dangerous for bikes. Can these be repaired please. Many thanks.

Two large ridges, 3rd January
There two large ridges in the road, one at the start of the slip road and one as you get nearer the a14 - a bit like a tree root has caused a sharp lump across the slip road - which is not good for cars attempting to accelerate to join the a14, they are very harsh ridges getting worse

Report on FixMyStreet
Large tree branches have fallen on the roof of my house at 103 Eastgate street, and the side entrance. The large tree sits on a patch of land close to the A14 flyover, 31st December
The branches pose a significant health and safety risk to me, my property and potentially to pedestrians walking along Eastgate street, who come very close to the large amount of overhanging branches. West Suffolk Council have said they do not cover the patch of land under the tree, but there is a clear, red sign on the land saying do not enter, and a small gate with a substantial padlock and steel cabinet. Please can you confirm if you have any responsibility for the land. I’m concerned that the pedestrians on the footpath could be struck if further branches fall onto the foot path. Please can you advise if you are responsible for maintaining this patch of land, and, if so can you help with removal of the branches on my roof. Many thanks, Jon Hornsey.

White lines east and westbound on A14 between Bury St Edmunds and J47 are very faded and have lost all reflective usefulnes, 4th December
The white line road markings east and westbound between Bury St Edmunds and J47 Woolpit, are very faded and have lost all reflective usefulness. I use this stretch of road daily before daylight and late evening. The road markings and cats eyes are no longer fit for purpose and this lack of clearly visible markings potentially creates a danger to road users. Please can this hazard be addressed?

Temporary Speed Camera, 13th November
Whilst driving into Bury St Edmunds on A143 at approximately 15:45 today (13/11/23), I noticed the speed camera was showing erratic speeds at 39, 33 & 36 mph. I had maintained a 29/30 mph speed at Clarice House and on the approach into town. There were no other vehicles in my vicinity at this point but the winds were high with lots of small debris flying around. (Including leaves & small twigs). I cannot say this was the cause of the figures shown on the camera but think the camera might need to be checked for accuracy.
