Large pothole at edge of carriageway, 10th April
There is a large pothole at the edge of the carriageway outside "Highlands" in Old Lane. There has been some previous debate as to whether this is on the public highway or on private property. The entrances to my and the neighbouring property are used as a passing space for traffic using the Lane. I have no real objection to this, but I do feel that if I am prepared to allow my drive (if that is in fact where some or all of the pothole is located) to be so used then it is reasonable to expect the local authority to fill in large defects in the road.

Street light on all the time, 8th November
The light in this vicinity is dayburning, and has been for a while. The telegraph pole it is on is next to a rather overgrown conifer tree which hides most of the light - perhaps this could explain the problem. The tree needs a trim anyway since most of the light gets lost in the branches.
