This is more than just a simple pothole. It is the complete breakup of the road surface, extending to a depth of several inches, and is affecting roughly half of the width of the roadway at this point. This fault has been there for probably several months now, without any attempts at remedial action being made. It desperately needs to be repaired.

I drive that way every week and nothing has changed, you can see the pot hole is massive it just gets worse and worse, 26th August
This huge pothole has been here for over 18 months. i have put a tennis ball tin in the hole so you can see how big it is. it is extremely dangerous, especially in the dark where there are no street lights

White give way lines worn away from the road surface., 26th May
The 'give way' road markings have worn away as you approach Newmarket Road from New Road. This results in traffic failing to give way to traffic coming off of the A14 slip road and a potential accident waiting to happen.

Deep potholes in carriageway, 1st April
New Road connects Burthorpe and Cavenham. Where it passes over the railway line there is a cluster of potholes and a failed repair, just at the edge of the bridge. Looks like a similar report fixed in May 2014 has been fixed but alas! harsh frosts have broken up the road on the same spot.
