Deterrent notices STILL on display (Ovington FP 1), 14th April

The photographs give three examples out of a great many. Photos taken on 13th April 2024. Under s.57 of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949, it is a criminal offence for anyone to place or maintain, on or near a public path, a notice containing any false or misleading statement likely to deter the public from using the way - and Norfolk County Council to enforce. The county council are continuing in shameful, gross and inexcusable neglect of their duty.

Signpost unreadable (Watton RB 12), 14th April
See the photograph! Wooden signpost unreadable, other than at very close quarters. The words "RESTRICTED BYWAY" have been engraved into the wood, which is difficult to read, anyway, but the letters have been further obscured by lichen. Norfolk County Council, these signposts, at road junctions, need to be readily readable by all highway users.

The physically available width is reduced down to less than two metres! Norfolk County Council, it looks as though you have, for a long time, only been maintaining this route, at most, as though it were a footpath!
