Large amount of mud on road for over 400 meters, 17th October
Today this road was covered by large amounts of mud making the road very slippery. The mud stretches for over 400 meters of the road and ‘cakes’ the bottom of your vehicle with several inches of mud. This is unacceptable from both a safety and inconvenience perspective. The mud may not be visible at night and could lead to a serious accident as cars tend to go fairly fast on this stretch of straight road.

Large deep pothole, 3rd March
The pot hole is on the central part of the A12inside carriageway. Whilst travelling at the speed limit yesterday the hole damaged our car tyre making the vehicle unsafe to proceed and costing over £250 to repair. We were lucky, we fear a motorcycle hitting this would not be so fortunate.

Speed, 12th August
Hacheston is more or less a one street village. Spread out along the B1116, there is nothing to enforce the 30mph speed limit along the road that connects the A12 with Framlingham. We have now established a speedwatch team who are doing a grand job of proving the point but who have no power whatsoever. In addition to the dangerous speeds frequently observed through the village, there is only a footpath on one side of the road, and this is on the opposite side of the road to the village green and play park. We all know that children are becoming increasingly housebound due to parents anxiety about risk, and one of the significant risks we are anxious about is the danger posed by traffic. In Hacheston, this anxiety is well founded. Our children need to be able to play outside on the wonderful village green and play-park safely, and to do this they need traffic to observe the speed limit in the village, and a safe place to cross.
We need regular speed watch by the police, and a pedestrian crossing by the village hall.
