Numerous deep and long potholes. Slip road joining A63 westbound from B1231 North Ferriby., 12th April
Numerous potholes on slip road to A63 westbound, especially bad where the slip road joins the main A63. These potholes have been present for at least a year and are getting worse. You have to adjust your driving position to avoid them which makes timing your entry onto the A63 at this point more difficult and potentially dangerous.

Dangerous uneven surface, 9th February
The tarmac has almost completely worn away on the entry and exit of this roundabout to/from South Lawn Way. I have felt my car losing grip on this surface, and it has become increasingly more dangerous in the last week or so (it is clear to see how rapidly the road surface is disappearing, even over just a few days). There are also many large potholes on the slip road to enter the westbound carriageway of the A63. These road surfaces need looking at urgently, it seems others reported these issues months ago and nothing was done, so they are now very dangerous to drive on.

Excessively degraded road surface, becoming dangerous at normal traffic speed., 13th January
Surface on this roundabout is now very badly degraded, and with potholes of various sizes now evident, especially on the egress to South Lawn Way. It has now become dangerous to travel over this roundabout (the northern one on this interchange) at a normal speed. National Highways has been informed many times now of the rapid deterioration of this interchange as a whole, not just this northern roundabout. I believe you have already had an inspection crew assessing the problems on the interchange since I reported the severe rutting on the westbound slip road to the A63 (mid November 2023). So why no remedial action?...not even any temporary infilling!! Don't leave it until there's an accident. The surface continues to degrade and crumble on a daily basis. And will only accelerate with freezing weather. An explanation as to why no remedial work yet would be greatly appreciated, preferably posted on here in "updates". Thanking you in advance for a speedy reply.

Dangerously damaged/worn surface, 27th November
I reported this on the 3rd July and two other people have also. No action has been taken so damage has become worse and spread. Today I hit this area due to very poor visability in torrential rain resulting in my car bumping and shaking. When will this be repaired?

Badly broken up road surface. Extends for a 50 metre length as the slip road is starting to merge with the A63 carriageway., 23rd November
Road surface is breaking up. Already formed several interlinking ruts, approx 50 metres in length. Often unable to avoid, as having to merge with 70mph traffic obviates precise choice of entry to main carriageway. Hitting this damaged surface at anything over 30mph is dangerous! This problem gradually been worsening over past 9 months. Freezing weather will make it inherently more dangerous. This whole junction is deteriorating rapidly now. The surface conditions at the 2 roundabouts, especially the northern one, are quite bad with potholes now present and growing in size.

Potholes on carriageway, 29th September
The issue is the slip road connection to the A63 Westbound from the North Ferriby/Melton (from Monks way east). As you descend from the elevated roundabout (above the Sandpiper) heading down onto the A63 wetbound, there is a severe area of roadsurface damage as the slip meets the dual carriageway. I was driving on Monday evening this last week and my steering wheel was pulled from my hand as I hit the damaged surface. I had to regrip my wheel. It was pretty bad.....I could easily have been sent off course or damage to my wheels or tyres. I do not think there is any damage but I was shocked at the force with which my vehicle was moved. This is an accident waiting to happen in my view. I felt the surface damage and did not see. I think it was generally damaged surface area over many feet rather then one single pothole. I have not been back to inspect as it is on a sliproad so not easy to get close to.
