Smell in the air from Yorkshire Water at Paull, 10th August
Smell in the air from Yorkshire Water at Saltend, noticed it 2 and a half hours ago, just taken the dog for a walk and it still smells, its awful!!!!!

Yorkshire Water sewage works AGAIN!, 10th August
It stinks. That's what's wrong. The map says 'Water Works' but that's a farce. It's a sewage works and it STINKS!! They admit they are at 125% capacity, so why are they IMPORTING tanker after tanker of effluent to add to their surplus??? It's one thing dealing with our own effluent, but shipping it in when they're already over capacity????? The smell is vile. It's a hot night but we have to keep all our windows closed because of the appalling stench outside. When the plant was proposed 15 years ago they swore that it couldn't possibly create smells - we all know now that they lied - in fact they've admitted that they lied, but very conveniently, the person who told the lies no longer works for YW ... we don't care!! We NEED it to stop! We've had it for 15 years, and it just gets worse and worse. ERYC needs to serve an abatement order, and monitoring needs to be 24/7 (it can't be coincidental that the smell gets worse after 9 p.m.)
