Dangerous wall above river, 27th October

Fri, 27 Oct 2017 21:47:10 +0100
53.60154 -1.927864

This wall separates the road from a steep drop into the river. It has obviously been nudged by a large vehicle and is close to collapse, but this is not obvious at a casual glance. It is opposite the Swan pub and if someone who had had too much to drink (or maybe a child watching the duck race) were to lean on it it could topple them into the river under a pile of large stones with possible fatal consequences.

Only access blocked for residents living at rear - again, 6th September

Wed, 06 Sep 2017 18:51:58 +0100
53.601923 -1.922746

Gradual dumping of furniture, boxes and other rubbish over last two days. Nightmare for residents who live in rear of back-to-back houses as it's blocked our only access. It's blocked a neighbour's caravan and we've had to cancel our firewood log delivery. We have CCTV and left labels from culprits but so far council not interested.

Fence opposite stubbin farm, 21st June

Wed, 21 Jun 2017 10:54:03 +0100
53.60753 -1.915221

The fence is broken and is gradually falling down its too thick wood for a nail form us to repair. the fence is a barrier between the road (no footpath)and Manchester road. A slip could lead to a bad accident as pedestrian- there are lots who walk this road- could slip down the banking on to Manchester road. I think a nail in time would save a bigger repair bill . Safety first please. Joan Smith

There is a loose cover in the junction of the Carrs road and the b6107 (Meltham Road) in Marsden. Every time a car goes of the cover it makes a loud noise and and is getting worse. I fear it may fail when a car runs over and cause an accident.

Large pot holes, 23rd November

Sun, 23 Nov 2014 17:16:20 +0000
53.5912524632767 -1.92220779935607

I have complained twice to Kirklees council that there are large pot holes in my road at the top of binn lane outside my house and my neighbours on Binn Lane. The pot holes have caused £298 worth of damage to my car! I have complained to the council and asked them to repay me this bill as the damaged part was less than 6 months old! But I haven't even had acknowledgment of my complaint made over 2 weeks ago! The pot holes are getting bigger - evidenced by the damage to my car!

Potholes on Mill Road, 8th September

Sun, 08 Sep 2013 09:43:38 +0100
53.602318324387 -1.9246745329557

There are two potholes about 10cm deep on Mill Road about 15 metres from Warehouse Hill Road. They are hard to avoid when driving because of their positions. They are spaced in such a way, on different sides of the narrow road, that if one avoids one of them, with the front offside car wheel, the Westside wheels are likely to hit the other pothole, and vice versa. Please repair them urgently and consider resurfacing a stretch of Mill Road in the longer term. Many thanks.
