ISSUE: Violence Against Women and Girls - Bradfield road has had a congregation of males looking for work at the location. The males congregating at the location are foreign nationals and there have been reports of them making women feel intimidated at the location due to the way they behave. There have also been reports of the males apparently littering and urinating at the location. This is a long term ongoing issue that the team have been monitoring.
ACTION: Officers are carrying out Walk and Talk initiative in areas highlighted as areas of concern for VAWG.
The team have been pro-actively working with the Immigration team on joint Operations. A recent Operation conducted on 24/08/2023 saw 3 males at the location arrested for immigration offences. This was a very good result and it is the first time in 7 years that the team working with the Immigration Team have managed to make arrests at the location. Members of the public and local businesses were very happy with the result and felt reassured by the presence and action taken by the team and immigration officers.
The team have another upcoming Operation on 15/11/2023 to target issues at Bradfield road again.

ISSUE: The Old Dairy is subjected to anti-social behaviour whereby individuals attend the car park to meet and take part in ASB activities such as playing loud music and revving their vehicle engines. There have been reports from the residents living nearby reporting issues at the location. The team have been working with Workman security on site to disrupt and deter this ASB activity. The team are carrying out intelligence based patrols and dealing with individuals as and when they come across them at the location. The team are also constantly engaging with local residents and businesses in the area to build better intelligence to allow them to target individuals causing issues at the location.

ISSUE: Theft from Motor Vehicle crime has increased at 'The Old Dairy' mainly due to the fact that shopping items and valuables are being left in vehicles at the location. The Old Dairy is a large complex which has a Shopping Superstore accompanied by a large cinema
ACTION: The team have been carrying targeted patrols at the location to try and deter this type of crime through more visible policing. The team have also recently had a meeting on 27/09/2023 where they have requested the on site Supervisor (Kristina Koncar) to consider employing more visible security on site to act as a deterrent to criminals that may be operating on site. The team have also conducted rowdy patrols in the early part of October 2023 to deter motor vehicle criminality in the locality. The team are currently in the process of arranging another meeting with the on site Supervisor (Ms Kristina Koncar)and Localities officer (Mr Steven Dormer) to further discuss what actions can be taken to reduce this type of crime at the site. The Team are also heavily raising crime prevention awareness on Twitter
