Blocked drain causing large puddle, 20th October
On the bend after initially turning onto fountains road there is a blockage to the drain that has flood both sides of the carriage way. This is a persistent issue even when not raining and has been a problem more than 12 months with the worst I’ve seen it today. The wall adjacent to the carriage way is now collapsing due to flooding. You have to drive on the other side of the road to pass safely.

Footpath neglected by relevant authorities along A61, 20th September
Location: The footpath running adjacent to and along the western side of the A61 running from The Inn at South Stainley, southbound to the unmade road / track - leading to several residential properties - known as Valley View at HG3 3LZ and also to where the A61 cuts through the old railway embankment. Fatality Risk: This pedestrian footpath (utilised to access the 36 bus stops located near the Inn) is riddled with potholes and overgrown with vegetation which is covering and now beginning to permanently hide the hard pathway, it is not only now slippery with mosses and fallen rotting leaves but the overhanging tree branches are a serious injury risk, particularly to the eyes. The likely hood of a fatality should a pedestrian slip, trip or fall into the A61 whilst on this pavement is very high and repair and regular maintenance is required by the relevant authority to return the pavement to an ongoing safe condition for regular use, particularly in the dark winter months when the wet vegetation is particularly slippery to step onto.

Footpath from the northern roundabout at Ripley on the A61 running towards Newton Beck and providing pedestrian access to Newton Hall and associated adjacent residential properties is riddled with potholes, overrun with weeds and suffering from severe neglect and poor maintenance - not safe for pedestrians accessing the 36 bus stop on A61 and walking between Ripley and the Newton Hall access road from the A61 and surrounding area

Multipal 12 inch holes leaking water, 6th October
Water has been running out for 5 days temporary tar was put in hole and washed out next day needs digging out and drain unblocking signs or traffic lights asap as it will cause a accident.

Potholes and debris near bottom of Scarah Bank., 5th October
Significant hazard for cyclists, especially. Onan otherwise dry day, Scarah Bank was awash with water (drain overflow or run off from farmland?) which entirely disguised the potholes near the bottom of the hill. Needed late evasive action. Please either fill or draw attention to hazard for cyclists.

Pothole opening up next to insecure manhole cover, 19th March
The manhole cover (that had to be replaced last year) is loose, and there is a pothole developing next to it, on the Northbound carriageway of the A61.

In the lay by which is being used to store road chippings there is a dead dog or fox between the piles of chips set back by the wall. Only seen from my passing car. Been there since Friday afternoon.

Fly tipped Tyres X 3, 9th March
3 Vehicle tyres possibly Goods Vehicle or Agricultural have been dumped at the lay by on the Fountains Road at Ripley. The lay by is on the left heading towards Grantley/ Markington etc. It is about half a mile after the Mole Store Country Supplies shop. This road also has quite a bit of litter on the verges as does the main Pateley Road - B6165.
