Dangerous subsidence of road, 12th November
On Menwith Hill Road as you drive from the junction at the top of Stumps Lane going towards Sleights Lane the road is increasingly subsiding towards the top of the farm. This is increasing and the camber sharply pulls the vehicle out of control towards the farm. This is particularly dangerous if you give way to wide farming vehicle coming from the opposite direction.

Months ago the footbridge was moved aside and a temporary closure order to pedestrians was made order73 of 2020 Menwith with Darley. When is the bridge going to be put back on this part of the Nidderdale Way?

Long stetch of potholes on Dacre Top, 7th April
Successive digging by various utility companies has left a 100 yard stetch of this busy road in the worst condition of any road in Nidderdale. It has been a problem for many years.Yet Forrest Moor Road was resurfaced a couple of years ago despite it being in far better condition and far less busy.Cyclist are particularly at risk as they weave in and out trying to avoid the potholes

Drain fully blocked, 2nd May
The drain is fully blocked with debris so when it rains the water runs onto the main road causing flooding. The drain is the first drain on the right hand side(about 5 feet) when going up the road from Main Street. It has been like this for several weeks.

Road edge erosion adjacent to top of drive of Ivy House Farm Barn property., 20th January
The lane/road side adjacent to the top of the drive of Ivy House Barn, Crake Lane, Darley has eroded and now has a large pot hole within the erosion. This causes a damage risk to cars entering the driveway. The problem has arisen over the last few months with a notable deterioration with the recent heavy rains as rain water runs over this part of the road.
