9 inch pothole just before cricket club on left hand side as driving south down Northfield Lane, 30th April
This pothole is a short distance from an enormous one that was filled thank you. But it will get bigger especially with the amount of traffic now using Northfield Lane due to the closure of Chawton Park Road. It is about a foot and half from the curb. Cars have to stop here and wait for traffic coming north from under the railway bridge. It is problematic already and has to be avoided. Please can you fill it when you fill the pot holes on the bend? Thank you!

There are many potholes on this bend. And approaching it from Northfield Lane. This has been made worse probably because of the road closure to the east. This really does need resolving asap please. Thank you.

Many many potholes down the length of Chawton park road - EVERYWHERE!!!!!!, 2nd April
The whole road is a beeping mess. Every now and again someone comes and lobs a bit of tarmac in (badly). The corner of Chawton park road and Northfield lane is a disgrace, the road surface for about 30 metres is degraded and broken. I have reported this before and nothing gets done. This has been like it for months/years. The whole of Chawton Park road road from A339 past scout hut, hospital, sports centre, skate park, new housing estate up to where it goes under the railway bridge near Alton Cricket club is simply atrocious.

Road totally ripped up after the heavy rains, 15th January
Hi, the stretch of roads that goes around the bend has been totally ripped up to the heavy flooding. There is now a 3 inch wide striped going many meters all the way down the road and around the bend

Unsafe and unprotected pedestrian crossing, 23rd December
At this location there is an unmarked and unprotected pedestrian crossing, heavily used as it is the ONLY route by foot from Ackender Hill (100+ houses) to and from Alton and bus stops. It is between two blind bends (both directions) on a busy rat-run - see photos. From the south west it it is within short distance of the 60 to 30mph limit signs which are obscured by vegetation, and in close proximity to an obscured entrance to Ackender Hill and a public car park park. Speeding traffic from the south west is not uncommon.

Dangerous pedestrian crossing, 20th December
This is the only location for pedestrians to exit the Ackender Hill Estate (200+ dwellings). There is poor sighting of approaching vehicles, combined with a high approach speed, which gives little time for pedestrians and drivers to react when crossing the road. Many families cross the road here on school runs for example and there have already been several “near miss” incidents.
Provision should be made to make crossing the road safer at this location, such as a zebra crossing for example.

Dangerous crossing, 20th December
Dangerous pedestrian crossing- too close to blind bend with traffic decreasing from 60mph. Review of crossing for signalled/zebra crossing to enable safe passage of pedestrians- many children. Several near misses involving residents on Ackender Hill estate crossing at this point.
