I dont know exactly how long this pothole has been here but it has been here (as have many others on Dodsley lane) for some time. I drove over it on Monday 8th May 2023, and it destroyed my tyre

Messy holes, 23rd January
Pot holes all down that side varying in different depths, impossible to see in the dark and when full of water. Also leaving lots of lose stones over the road. Also been much worse since cold spell of weather and ice making it a dangerous piece of road as goes out onto another road. Been there at least a couple of months, getting worse condition.

Pothole is 50mm deep and has been here for at least 2 months. It is in the wheel track around bend and is not obvious to the unwary and is a hazard to motorcyclists

Flooding due to poor construction, 20th April
Firstly, I'd like to highlight that there has been a big community effort led by Midhurst Green Volunteers to clear the cycle path from Midhurst to Stedham. This has been in response to growing demand for improvements to cycling and walking infrastructure in the Midhurst area and in keeping with UK Govt's drive to encourage more sustainable transport. The section from June Lane to the 2nd layby has now been completed (see photo 1). The local volunteer team is however unable to put right mistakes made at the time of construction when 2 drains were installed at the wrong location in relation to the slope of the path (see photo 2 and 3). The result is that after any short period of rain, water sits on the path which soon turns into a muddy bog and becomes impassable for the majority of cyclists, pedestrians and mobility scooter users. I have more photos to illustrate just how bad the path becomes but I am unable to upload more than 3 photos. Please contact me if you would like to see these.

Absence of maintenance of gutters, 19th April
I have been helping a volunteer group clear the footpath on a272 between midhurst and stedham. However the road itself also evidently receives no regular maintenance. The gutter is thick with Sandy silt which means the gullies are blocked and cyclists have to cycle further out into a busy and fast moving road. The kerb is invisible. And the white paint. No distinct road edge

Cycle track/footpath blocked, 28th February
For many weeks now, the cycle track/footpath here at the Midhurst end of Yummiest burger bar lay by has been blocked by a large pile of earth. This is totally unnecessary as there is plenty of space on the grass to store the spoil heap without blocking the footpath & cycleway.

A recurring pothole because it hasn't been fixed properly on previous occasions. It is on a bus route and regularly gets hammered by traffic. It causes vehicles to steer into the line of oncoming traffic to avoid it..
