Underpass is Impassable again after heavy rain, 28th April

Sun, 28 Apr 2024 10:02:13 +0100
51.293724 -0.796857

Underpass is flooded again. This seems to be a common place for flooding now, it is ankle deep water and doesn’t appear to drain easily after the rain eases. Please can someone look at the root cause and fix it? This route is used regularly by locals to get from one end of Farnborough to the Southwood housing, Morrison’s and health centre.

HGVs over 7.5Tonnes Reversing blind into residential road ant school drop off time - off the B3272 Hawley Rd into Medlar Drive to make a U-Turns. Hawley rd is a NO HGVs over 7.5tonnes at that point as per signage. Noisy Hazordous., 18th April

Thu, 18 Apr 2024 09:05:15 +0100
51.323501 -0.772013

Extra signage needed at junction or Cameras on Hawley Rd / Lane to prevent and or fine HGVs illegally using Hawley Road / Lane as a cut through. Daily occurrence of HGVs using B3272 Hawley Rd / Lane as a short cut. They’ve ignored clear signage NO HGV over 7.5 tons signs are frequently also using the junction at Medlar Drive to perform blind reversing, 3 point turn in the junction which is hazardous especially at school run time with these roads being at its busiest and with parked cars dropping off etc fr Hawley Primary school. Example ..This HGV just before 8am today drove over into the other lane of Hawley Rd, b3272 into incoming traffic forcing traffic to stop, so he could then reverse blind into Medlar Drive going up the pavement whilst reversing then re exit back the way he came. Blocking both lanes on Hawley Rd (B3272) whilst doing so in rush hour and school run at the same time. These are 30MPH and residential road and meant to have through HGV traffic at this junction as they would have ignored multiple NO HGV signs to get this far. The manoeuvres are always noisy events held up traffic / cars damage to pavements and kerbs when they drive up them and at this frequency is unacceptable. This happens daily and needs to be addressed by Hampshire Roads before an HGV reverses blind onto someone on the shared pavement/ cycle path here going to school. Even Double Yellows were installed as it’s a dangerous junction to stop or park at. Please address this ongoing hazard.

2 HGV overnight parking, 16th April

Tue, 16 Apr 2024 23:00:12 +0100
51.305016 -0.795872

These 2 vehicles have parked here creating a pinch point at the entrance of the street. Upon research I have found HGVs are prohibited from parking in specific areas, including residential zones and pedestrian areas. It is happening more frequently. They are also parked outside houses with driveways creating dangerous blind spots for exiting. Is there anything can be done to prevent this from happening in future. For example reinstating double yellow lines that was removed ?

Flooding in footpath, 5th April

Fri, 05 Apr 2024 12:09:51 +0100
51.293604 -0.796942

Hi team. For months, the heavy rains caused a build up of water under and around the archway, connecting Fleet Road with Summit Avenue. This has got worse with every new rainfall. Network Rail had been informed and reported back that the drains around the footpath are surcharging, completely blocked and it's the Highways responsibility. Please can these be unblocked as passing has become impossible to pedestrian and is much used by locals and workforce. Many thanks
