Various pieces of wood and metal dumped on the road causing risk to drivers.

Missing 40mph Speed Limit Sign, 16th July
My understanding is that Stewartfield Way (between Kingsgate and HMRC/Holiday Inn) is a 40mph speed limit. When driving from Kingsgate in the direction south west along this road the first indication of the speed limit is from a repeater sign placed about 200m beyond the pedestrian crossing for the Leisure Centre. There is, however, no sign to indicate the start of the speed limit.

Large ruts between lanes. Caused my windscreen to crack. Serious hazard to motorcycles

2 vans parking in parking bay overhanging the road & the pavement at the rear, 30th October
SLC & hire van parking in the bay over hanging the bay causing an obstruction to cars parked beside as you have to pull out into the middle of the road before you can see if there are any other cars on the road. The hire van blocking the pavement at the rear also.

Very late pothole at side of road - virtually unavoidable for cars on this side of road. Measures about 80cm by 60cm and at least 8-10cm deep.

There is a vast amount of dog poop at the bottom of the garden at No 130. They must be letting their dog out the back to do the toilet and not lifting it.

Road surface, 19th November
This area is long overdue new road surface, it's a disgrace! Could you please explain the method used for determining when work is carried out. We are confused as work was done in Mannering and Ivanhoe yet Durward was badly in need of a complete overhaul at the same time. Regards Roger Lee

There is a large pothole on the road outside my house that is growing rapidly and needs filled in.

Whirlies roundabout., 26th February
Potholes just before the roundabout and also on the roundabout, itself too. There have been attempts in the past to patch up, but the whole lot needs done now, as its becoming dangerous.

Broken drain causes bike crash, 30th January
There is a large puddle on West Mains Road approaching the Whirlies. My brother cycles this road every day to work. The puddle is caused by a blocked drain. He skirts most of the puddle to avoid the drain grate. However the road surface around the drain has crumbled and has created fissures. His wheel got caught in one, hidden by the water, He was thrown from his bike. He suffered a four stitch cut to his head, other lacerations on his face and his arm is in a sling. His glasses were thrown from him by the force of the crash. He had to go to Hairmyres. I am not sure of the precise location on the approach to the roundabout as I am reporting on his behalf.

Road surface has cracked and become like rubble on the road, i have already replaced a set of motorcycle tires due to this
