This is around 6-8cm deep and if a cyclist went into it would very likely be thrown over handlebars due to depth and length along road (25cm approx). This is large and deep enough to cause issues for motorcyclists too. This is the road surface that has been filled in around the drain cover that has disintegrated over the winter.

50% of this road is covered in temporary repairs which are currently being destroyed by farm traffic, HGVs and recreational traffic, 27th January
Potholes have been here for more than 3 years, they get temporarily repaired, the repairs last less than 6 months due to the agricultural and construction HGVs which use this road for access and parking. This road is used by cyclists, pedestrians and dog-walkers, it was partially repaired properly about 6 years ago and these repairs are still good, the west end of the road seems to be repaired by a mixture of gravel and melted pontefract cakes

This area has never been resurfaced only patched and the patching has been very unsatisfactory over a period of years. It breaks up and leaves holes that are damaging the residents vehicles.
