Tree has been blown over again, 14th November
Hello, this is the third time this tree has been blown over. The tree needs an additional stake (2 rather than 1) and the stakes may need to be dug down deeper, as the one that is there is not securing the tree upright.

Bus Stop Sign has been poorly installed/hit with a vehicle and now leans towards street., 3rd November
The bus stop sign at Stirling St, Alva FK12 5EH across from Scotcres Uniforms has been poorly installed/hit with a vehicle and now leans significantly towards street which in conjunction with poor road markings and domestic parking makes it extremely difficult for Bus Drivers to see and often leads to bus drivers missing the stop unless you stand in the middle of the road to flag them down. This has been an issue for over a year.
The bus stop shelter too is in really poor condition. With mold on the ceiling, out-of-date bus time tables and lights that don't function at night.

Some of the custom, heavy duty, metal black benches aren't bolted down., 3rd November
Some of the black benches installed along Stirling Street (both sides) as part of the Alva Restoration project aren't bolted down into the slabs like most of the others. This leaves them vulnerable to theft and vandalism as they can be easily moved or taken. It also causes them to shift and move during harsh weather such as the recent storms. I think this may have happened during recent construction when the slabs had to be lifted.

Tree has been blown over, 3rd November
This tree was recently planted to replace a tree that had previously been damaged in a storm earlier in the year. It has been blown over in recent high winds. Please could it be secured with additional, deeper set stakes? This is the second tree blown over on this exact spot so may need to be planted deeper and better secured.

Massive dips and potholes, 18th July
The whole road from the bends after the woodsman bar to the turning for Alva Academy is full of dips, potholes and potential issues. The dip on the bends forces cars out on to the opposite side of the carriageway and will cause an accident.
The other potholes have damaged both of our cars more that once and are getting worse!

Tree snapped in the wind, next to bus stop., 16th May
This morning the little tree at the bus stop opposite Berryfield Cresecnt, Alva, snapped in the wind. It has been moved off the fence, but please could the tree and stump be removed so that it is not a H&S hazard for those moving about in the area. There is no requirement for the tree to be replaced at this time, just made safe if possible?

Missing bins, 2nd May
Along the shared use footpath that follows the A91 between Alva and Tillicoultry, there used to be 4 rubbish bins spaced out along the path. Last year two of them (the ones along the route) were removed, leaving one positioned at each end of the path. Please could the middle ones be replaced as it is already very noticeable that people are dropping their litter and not picking up their dog’s waste, rather than carrying it to the end of the 2km stretch of path. Many thanks.
