Responding to your reply in February, 21st February
Thought I'd respond to the report previously about the disgusting amount of litter throughout the road network. Highways England, firstly I do no believe for one minute you regularly litter pick these major roads. The litter build up is extensive and definitely looks historic. Secondly you as an agency massively contribute to the littered roadsides. Your equipment is left behind following roadworks throughout the network. Why not report on the sheer amount of this equipment that is left? Absolutely tons of old traffic cones, sign frames, sandbags etc. You claim to collect 7500 tons of litter per year, but how much do you actually add in the form of this dumped equipment? We as volunteers try our best to keep our local area clean, but what example do you think the actions and attitudes of your highways workers sets to the general public? You mention about placing signs to discourage littering (haven't ever seen any by the way), but this is extremely counter-intuitive if you are going to constantly leave all YOUR mess behind once work has been completed. Littering in this country is a national disgrace, and YOU highways England/National Highways or whatever you want to call yourself, are part of the issue. Instead of accepting this, you try and pretend you are doing everything you can to clean up the road network, and we simply know this is not true. Please take these environmental concerns more seriously and stop promoting littering by leaving all your equipment strewn everywhere. You are a government agency funded by US and you should show some pride in your country. I speak for all the countless litter picking volunteers throughout the country. We have simply had enough!

People driving over the park ploughing up the grass, 21st October
I have lived on the park at woodlands for 12 years and have recently seen more and more instances of people driving over the grass (at speed) apart from ripping the turf up this is potentially very dangerous in view of the many people who walk dogs it can only be a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt. it would be quite a simple problem to sort if some low wooden fencing was erected on the southern corner where people turn onto from the great north road

Pothole just before junction 38 exit going southbound, 2nd February
There's a pothole approximately 200 yards before junction 38 exit on A1 M going southbound towards Doncaster. The pothole is approx. 1 meter long and 40cm wide, 3 inches in depth. The pothole is in between two lanes so when changing lanes on the A1 I drove onto it and it has caused damage to my wheel and tyre.

People driving over the park[grassed area] turning it into a muddy eyesore, 20th October
I have lived on the park for 10 years and have always been proud of it and very much admired and appreciated how the council has looked after it, ie keeping it reguarly cut. the park is a big asset to our community,it would be a crying shame to let it be ruined. cannot some sort of barrier be installed to stop people taking a short cut across and ripping up the turf? it would only need to be on the eastern end ie entrance from great north road.
