COMPLAINT TO LCC…(edited! Full transcript sent as a formal complaint)
Front Street Grasby.
I keep reporting on ‘Fix my street’ and the problem remains.
The Council repair team have just attended, and allegedly completed 2 repairs.
Look at the attached pictures ! More available.
This ineffective repair will last possibly one storm and be blown open within days. To add insult to injury, they have left numerous others undone.
The work needs redoing and the omissions repaired as well.
Thank you

Pothole on road/cycleway problem, 22nd March
Travelling from caistor to grasby entering village, roads wet, dark skies. 2 cars behind me. Me turning left into village. One car coming out of the village. Heard a bang. Managed to get home. Came out later, tried to drive car. Lots of grinding & cluncking trying to turn. Got out car realised dropped on one side, wheel arch almost on top of tyre. Waiting for breakdown to take car to garage. I have guessed the measurements as i didnt take a measure with me, and its too dangerous to take measurements there as top of village and cars speed past.

Main Street, Searby, 8th March
The road at the top where it joins the main road is shaling away - you have repaired other potholes but now there are holes forming at other sides to these, also there is quite a deep hole at Chestnut Farm - the road just outside of The Chestnuts is poor and in front of the post box too. Lot of standing water so unable to measure the depth of hole.

Outside Orchard House Front Street Grasby, 26th February
2 very large and deep pot holes.
Front Street Grasby is by far the worst road surface in the village.
Drive down it , see for yourself !
I suggest the Council applies for some if the Government’s HS2 reallocation of infrastructure funds announced today to plan a full resurface of this awful road.
This has already been reported to the local and county councillors.
Otherwise I fear I will be continually using this site to make further reports.
Thank you for reading this.
In the meantime do not forget these 2 large holes ??

Exactlocation shown on the map, 22nd February
Badly blocked drain. See first photo, although difficult to see the drain because of the amount of water. The resulting puddle or should I say pond is at least 12 feet long and 4/5 feet wide. From reporting other drains in the village, I know that your standard reply is that it will get cleared on the next scheduled drain clearing run. However, having walked around the village this morning, there are at least 4 drains that are blocked, but not to this extent. Unfortunately, due to the amount of rain that has fallen this autumn and winter, there is a lot of debris being both washed into and gathering at the top of drains causing blockages. I kindly ask that the drain clearing team attend sooner rather than later to clear all drains in Grasby.

At Grasby Wold Lane at the Quarry entrance, 16th February
There is a continuous stream of lorries leading earth/spoil to the quarry. The road is covered in mud extending in both directions from the site entrance. There is often a road sweeper parked on the road but this is completely ineffective considering the quantity of spoil on the road.
Moving further north towards Grasby bottoms the verges have been disturbed as lorries pass each other spreading wet earth into the road.
Mud and debris on the road presents a significant hazard and skid risk. The speed of the lorries is also of concern as it is necessary to take evasive action as they pass.
Lorries drive past the entrance hold up traffic and reverse into the site with no banskman, signs or other warning signs.
This activity has been ongoing for several weeks and appears likely to extend for may more.
I would like the activities to be audited to ensure risks are suitably addressed in advance of any potential injury.
