Several very large potholes, 23rd February
The tarmac surfacing ends just past the bottom of the hill but about 100m short of the sewage works and public car park. This section is surfaced with rolled slag but has become very badly potholed. It is the only access to the village sewage works which if access became impossible could lead to a major environmental issue at the neighboring nature reserve. It's also the access to the main car park swerving the nature reserve since the creation of which has seen a great increase in traffic down the hill. In the short term the potholes need repairing to prevent damage to visitors' vehicles, but longer term the tarmac should be extended to the nature reserve entrance.
