Snow/Ice on PAths outside meopham school, 14th December
I dropped my kids off this morning. The road was lovely and clear. The paths are death traps. Black ice and snow everywhere. I saw a pregnant woman nearly slip over (luckily, she caught her balance before hitting the deck), and my 4-year-old did fall over and split her tights on the ice. We can't walk on the road as you can imagine it's a busy road. But outside a school, the paths should be gritted as well!

Overgrown trees / bushes, 24th May
What 3 words location ///sentences.tasty.piano The footpath that runs down the side of 6 the pippins to join the russets - the footpath is lined on one side with trees / bushes / shrubs, these are very overgrown. They block the light from the lamppost at the pippins end and make the footpath narrow to walk down. Some are overhanging so much they are encroaching the boundary of my garden. The shrubs in the russets have recently been cut back but these appear to have been missed. I would be grateful if these could be pruned / cut back a bit please. I don’t believe these have been cut for many many months. many thanks

Tree of significant beauty & age providing significant shelter to native wildlife is to be cut by neighbours, 3rd February
I am contacting you on behalf of my parents living at the address given. They have a very mature (80-1100yr) Copper Beach Tree at the end of their garden. The tree has been in their care for 50 years & is an healthy beautiful specimen. The tree of significant protection & roosting to birds such as Jays, Magpies, Thrush & Tits & grey squirrel. The trees branches extends across the boundary into the only neighbouring garden. This neighbours property had up until 2020 natural woodland & formed part of the North Downs woodland Scape. The residents systematically stripped the entire woodland on their property and beyond into farm property. This has impacted on a huge loss for native woodland animals & birds. My parents neighbours have now issued a solicitor letter to my parents telling them they intend to remove all overhanging branches over the boundary of the Copper Beach. This will cause significant harm to the tree in both balance of its shape & important habitat to native woodland wildlife that shelters, perches, nests, & use of trees natural foods such as beech nut. This tree does NOT impact any light issues to the neighbors house. In fact it is approx 40 metres from any house. It is in our opinion that this tree needs a tree preservation order placed on it as a matter of urgency as they plan to cut it away by 11Feb. Please can you help us urgently preserve a tree of beauty, & wildlife importance ...this is a rare example of such a tree anywhere in the local vicinity. It is our belief looking at the TOTAL removal of their own woodland that the neighbouring residents will want to remove all the tree they can. Please contact me as soon as possible. I can send photos of the tree. Cutting a tree of this size & type will cause irreparable damage to its beauty, & significantly impact woodland wildlife.
