Enormous pothole in the side of the road causing instant tyre damage, 25th March
The pothole is somewhere in a dip and filled with water so can’t say if it’s that deep but would damage the tyres even if you’re going slow. I reported to the council but be aware of this nasty pothole!

Dangerous road STILL not fixed!, 19th July
Can’t be bothered fixing what is a wheel/tyre/suspension shattering bit of road. There’s a dip in the road where it’s collapsed and if you hit it at any decent speed you risk massive damage. Inspect the roads you clots!

Fil yer boots!, 7th December
If you've driven on this road in the last few months you've probably hit this rather severe dip/bump combo. It's been reported to Cheshire West and Chester council, but for some inexplicable reason they want you to report these things via their own system which isn't public and open like fixmystreet is. So when you say you damaged your car on their poorly maintained roads they'll say "Nah, didn't know there was a pothole there m8! No compensation for you!". Rather hilariously the link they sent to report a pothole on their system doesn't even work...
So the upshot is this, the pothole HAS been reported, Cheshire West and Chester council ARE aware and simply can't be bothered repairing it BUT they ARE liable for any damage done to your vehicle.
Want a new set of wheels? Go drive over this multiple times at anything more than 30mph multiple times, you're going to bend or smash a wheel. Tired of the suspension on your car? Want something stiffer or want to lower it? Just drive over this a few times and you're pretty much guaranteed to kill a damper or break a spring.
Don't go too fast though, the other day I hit this bump at less than the speed limit and nearly ended up hitting oncoming traffic which would have been a bit unfortunate.
You can claim for pothole damage from councils using the following guide.
Fill your boots, get yourself some new wheels, tyres and a new shiny set of shock absorbers and when those break because CWCC can't be bothered fixing another road then claim from them again. I hate compensation culture, but if it's the only way these people will learn then what else are you going to do?

Severe dip/bump combo, 6th December
Not quite a pothole, but there’s a dip and then a bump which is very very damaging to suspension. You can see where loads of cars have bottomed out and scraped their undersides on it.
