FIXMYSTREET IN CW4 8DX
The following problems have been reported on Fix My Street within 2 miles of CW4 8DX:
Joining the A535 from Goostrey, turning right to Holmes Chapel, 13th May
There is a manhole cover which has been wet for years and I reported it about 4 or 5 years ago and was told that there was no problem. For many months now even in very dry weather, there has been more and more water in the area around it. Now the road has a stretch about 2m long where a wide section is slowly sinking and it won't be long before a sharp edge appears along the 2m section which will rip someone's tyres.

There is a manhole cover that is leaking. UU have previously fixed this leak as it was leaking for a number of months, it is leaking again. The road has eroded and a stretch of approx 5m the road surface is like driving over a cheese grater . It's like Croxton lane all over again!

6 Twemlow Lane, Holmes Chapel, CW4 8DT, 28th March
This was first reported on 11th December, at which time I was asked to reach out if I had not heard from you by 18th December. I wrote again, and was asked to reach out to you if I had not heard by 20 days from the 12th December. I reported again several times. It is now nearly 3 months, and I have still not heard anything. The flood in our front garden caused by roadworks directly outside our house persists. There is still a kayak FLOATING in our garden, and a persistent swamp caused by the roadworks on the drainage/gully immediately outside out house.

Outside the Farthings Twemlow Lane, 19th March
The five potholes have today been temporarily filled with tarmac. This is a complete mess and unacceptable it needs to be properly resurfaced as these tarmac patches will disintegrate easily. The rest of the lane is perfect, but outside our house is a complete mess. I cant believe Cheshire East thinks this an acceptable repair. We are now paying £3660 a year in council tax and we want the whole strip in front of our house resurfaced. properly

Numerous potholes in the location of a previous repair. These potholes have been increasing in size over the past few months due to the action of both weather and vehicles. Given their location adjacent to the give way line they could now affect vehicles and cyclists turning into Goostrey Lane.

There are now five potholes on the roadway outside our house covering 8.5 metres stretch. The largest one is 800mm long 500mm wide and 160mm deep. The next largest is 600mm long 300mm wide and 150mm deep. The others are crumbling into the roadway and will get larger. The largest has been temporarily filled due to a motor claim. Cars are now driving on the pavement to avoid these potholes. The whole 8.5m stretch needs to be re-tarmacked, otherwise any patching will crumble again.

The whole road, 22nd February
There must be at least 50 pot holes between Holmes chapel and knutsford. They have been there for months on end...some...at least 2 years. The winter is no excuse...they were there before. At night, especially when it rains...the road is unsafe, as you can't avoid/ see the holes. Biggest one near equiport. It's a disgrace .
