Thus footpath has always been a narrow part but this has recently become even shorter as the boundary seems to have moved forward. This is not inline with the other side. Pushchairs, wheelchair users, users of mobility scooters and children who have stabilisers on bicycles are unable to pass safely without going onto the road. This road is used for Lorries that head to the industrial estate. I have found the wheel of my pushchair stuck underneath the fence numerous times. We could pass before not easily but better than it is now and I suggest that it gets moved back to how it was for the safety of the public and children.

The road marking lines here have practically disappeared, so there's no clear differentiation of what lane you're in. It is particularly dangerous in wet weather when it's dark.

Also no give way white lines at junction with Mill Street and the roundabout. This is a very busy junction and needs clear road markings

Double yellow lines faded, 29th April

Mon, 29 Apr 2024 14:16:34 +0100
53.156572 -2.192462

Previous double yellow lines have faded so much that people regularly - every day - park in this side of the road which is opposite parking for the shops. This causes traffic problems and because they park half on and half off the pavement, it makes it difficult for pedestrians. Especially when the vehicles are vans.

Road surface the hole way down is ridiculous, worst coming down from Bankfields towards the A34. Dodging holes all the way down! However, the raised grid and breaking away surface in front of the hedge approaching the houses is crazy and cars must drive on the wrong side of the road to attempt to avoid very serious damage to their vehicles. This has been reported numerous times and has been getting progressively worse over the last month

This has previously been filled in along with many other potholes on this street. This street needs a full resurface rather than patchwork solutions. If you can resurface footpaths towards the bottom of Astbury Street then you surely can resurface this entire road to prevent continuous potholes? It’s a wonder windows haven’t been put through with the amount of debris that is flicked up everywhere.

53.155425 -2.229186

The condition of this road has been reported to you many time recently, yet nothing is being done. In particular where the stream runs alongside the road opposite the cottages and sub station there is an exposed grid which is raised above the road level together with many large potholes, now making this stretch of the road very dangerous.

Opposite the entrance to the Edgerton Arms, 26th April

Fri, 26 Apr 2024 21:53:13 +0100
53.151973 -2.23308

The carriage way has a number of potholes that have been present for over 2 months and are increasing in size and depth every day. Cars are constantly slowing down before the section with potholes in an attempt to avoid these and I witnessed a car completely swerve onto the opposite side of the carriageway at rush hour this morning. This is extremely dangerous given the junction for Astbury church is meters away and this junction is known as an accident hotspot where serious collisions occur.
