Grass verge deterioration due to vehicle use, 9th January
The grass bank/verge outside between Little Cottage and Milestone Cottage on Southam Road is deteriorating quite quickly due to a vehicle using it for access to an illegal driveway.
There is no drop curb, therefore the vehicles should not be there or be driving over a public footpath.
I feel unsafe walking there as the pavement and grass verge is uneven. This issue was raised back in 2019 and I am not sure of its outcome.

Street lamp cut down, 4th January
Street lamp was cut down 6/8 weeks ago. No contact from Napton parish council, no notice on what remains. Massive security and safety issue for us and our neighbours. Really unhappy about the lack of communication over this too.

Gulley blocked and flooding road and garden, 3rd November
The gulley at the bottom of hillside is blocked again so all drainage water is flooding out of it and on to the road, this is then flooding towards fig tree house and down that access road causing excess water in the garden. These gulleys need proper cleaning out or replacing as this happens regularly

No Parking road markings faded, 21st September
We keep getting cars parking oposite of the entrance gates, causing lorries to struggle to get access to our warehouse. Please can the no parking road markings be re-done or yellow lines put in place?

Missing dog waste bin, 14th September
A contractor working at the house where the bin is located has driven over the bin that was there. It has now been removed and not replaced which makes it difficult for all dog walkers as there are no bins by the canal either and the closest is up Butt Hill or at the top by the church. Please can you replace this bin or add a new one somewhere on Southam road?

Bridge parapet dislodged, 21st June
The South-Western parapet has clearly been struck recently, and a large section has moved an inch or so towards the canal. Obviously this section is now loose and another strike could see it knocked into the canal. This would of course be catastrophic if a boat or walker was passing underneath at the time, or indeed if the vehicle followed the wall into the canal.

Footpath blocked with new fencing, 9th June
The footpath has been completely blocked by the land owner ir land manager circa 3 months ago. Fencing has been erected and either side blocked off with a pallet and wiring to stop dogs being able to get through with dog walkers. Signage has been put up either side of the field stating dogs to be kept on leads so this does seem to be a direct act to stop dog walkers. There are no sheep or other animals in field for clarity. Elderly can’t access this footpath now and ramblers are having to walk on tomlow road which has no pavement so is dangerous. Offence under highway act to block footpath. Best to add a gate similar to other side of field.

Broken lighting., 23rd April
The broken light on Chapel Lane has been reported several times. My parked vehicle has been vandalised twice in the last week. This might not have happened had the area been illuminated.

Pothole close to my front gate., 3rd February
Not a particularly large pothole, but this represents a trip hazard, especially at night as the street lighting doesn’t work, it’s a hazard to cyclists and when large vehicles hit it, our house shakes.

30mph repeater sign removed, 12th December
The 30 mph repeater sign on the verge outside 6 Poplar Gardens has been. dug out and removed.
Partly as a result we have had two serious accidents on this road in two months.
